Webportage is a company specializing in freelance web jobs.

It now has nearly 700 users around France and this is how I chose to be able to charge my customers without having to manage the accounts but also reduce my operating costs to offer the best rates.

The platform that allows you to create quotes, invoices and expenses do go steadily improved and of course to consult their account via mobile has quickly become a necessity for many user as is done now with the bank via the mobile.

Webportage has launched a tender to the gates of the company and was selected to develop the first version for iPhone and Android.

Solution found

For this first version, the application was intended to authenticate using the Webportage API with their username and password to view the list of transactions on behalf of the port, display details of it, to access help and legal.

The design of the iPhone interface was created by Martin ZHA from Liaison Graphique society and I then declined for the Android version.

For the development of two applications, I used Appcelerator Titanium, which allowed me to have a common code which I then adapted to the two platforms (the navigation buttons become an iPhone menu in Android for example).

After a beta phase of one month from forty worn, the applications were submitted to the Android Market and Apple’s AppStore.

Titanium have saved nearly 60% of the code (and time) in relation to application development in Java for Android and iPhone Objective-C!

The maintenance will be reduced because the two applications will be updated at the same time when adding futur features.

Customer request

Christian Nicaud from Visual-Ease company asked me to set up an administration for the management of its website and his iStreams partner’s website located in Dubai.

The two sites were managed by a software with pre-recorded site templates, not allowing great flexibility in the upgrade of two sites (FTP, no SEO, etc. …).

Often traveling between France and Dubai, it was also necessary that this administration is online for easy maintenance.

Solution found

I proposed to use the power of multi-site mode of WordPress (3.2 version) to create two separate sites from the same interface.

The Visual-Ease website is available in French / English and soon in Arabic with right to left reading support (RTL).

Each domaine name is “mapped” to the same hosting, which facilitates the maintenance of WordPress versions and plugins but also reduces costs by having more than one hosting offer.

IStreams company, Visual-Ease partner, asked me to set up a new version of its website on the Visual-Ease WordPress Multi-site installation.

The two sites were managed by a software with site templates pre-recorded, not allowing great flexibility in the upgrade of two sites (FTP, no SEO, etc…).

Solution found

Drawing on the multi-site installation of WordPress already in place for Visual-Ease, I added the iStreams website’s in the administration and then create a theme in keeping with the graphic design.

IStreams site is available in English and soon in Arabic with support for right to left reading (RTL).

Customer request

Metys Communication agency needed for Batifini company a website to present its business maintenance of visual identity (brand, light, maintenance).

Solution found

With little text to display, I proposed a “Single Page” solution with animations between each area of ​​the page and photo galleries, developed in HTML / jQuery.

I added an administration PHP / MySQL to manage photo galleries and restricted access to Batifini customers.

Trendy Agency asked me to finish website redesign of Valerie MacCarthy, singer and jewelry designer.

When the design was ready, the agency needed an ActionScript developer to integrate animation part, french & english language and fullscreen support.

Solution found

I set up the design and added all the necessary script to resize photos and adaptation of elements based on dynamic screen resolutions.

PHP backend to manage pictures galleries (jewelry & press) and videos.

Client request

After first work for a management web application, the nursing home of Montpellier (France) ordered me to develop an Android mobile application, order to earlier facilitate order entry and drugs receipt from the pharmacy.

For budget reasons, they prefers to wait for lower prices Android tablets and begin with a mobile application that will run on Samsung Galaxy S.

The mobile application must allow order entry by doctors but also the order receipt from the pharmacy by nurses.

The constraints are of course the screen size (4″), ease of use and security of data circulating among mobile terminals and the server of the nursing house.

Solution found

I’ve started by creating the storyboard of the mobile application in Photoshop and then validated them with the nursing home.

Then create a new API on the web application in order to communicate with the mobile application.

Then I started developing the Android application (2.2) and tested it on a Google phone Nexus One.

Once the first stable version, I installed Samsung Galaxy S terminals and it is currently being tested at the nursing home.

Selliance, Franco-American company, was looking for a BuddyPress theme developer for its social network launched in several countries.

Translated into 20 languages ​​including Chinese, Japanese or Arabic, the theme should be multilingual but also support writing from right to left (RTL).

It should also integrate, via the user profile preferences, color change of the theme provided by the Selliance designers.

Solution found

So I created the graphics theme functions and widgets developed on my test server, and then provided a dozen versions before submitting the final version.

Several pages have been adapted to meet their needs with the registration page, profiles, or display different content your connected or not.

Client request

A retirement home in Montpellier would like to switch to numeric medical records and improve the management of his pharmacy, asked me to create a web application for complete management of their nursing home.

The web application should be able to manage the monitoring of the patient (files, medical records, treatments, contacts, etc …) but also upgrade the order entry by doctors and better manage stock and orders office treatment of all patients.

Solution found

The requirements was to have a hosted version in the nursing home on a LAMP server to ensure confidentiality and security of patient records.

I went on the couple PHP5/MySQL5 and an own framework, have not yet worked with Symfony at the moment of conception.

A large number of modules were needed to manage end to end patient records, orders, inventories and orders.

Here is a list of features :

• Entering its administrative sheet upon arrival (contact, family, general doctor, etc. …)
• Creation of his full medical records (Social covering, mutual, history, allergies, current treatment, prescription history, recent measurements, weight, etc …)
• Prescription management by different doctors (creation, duplication, archiving, etc …)
• Stock management function orders (duration, treatment, etc …)
• Order weekly or monthly based on orders and express order as required with the order amount
• Database of 9000 drugs with generic equivalent to, prices, reimbursement rates and update via excel file

I worked with a pharmacist for order management, inventory and drugs parts.

The project was tested during a year by the nursing home and pharmacy partner and goes into production now.

This first version should be followed with a second tablet iPad / Android support for the creation of orders and inventory management of pharmacy (receiving orders, inventory).

After the creation of a new graphic design by the 888 Design Studio, Olivier Prouvost contacted us to redesign his website.

The site available in French and English, became increasingly tedious to update as required a software to edit the HTML code.

And for SEO, the code did not allow search engines to fully exploit it to be well positioned.

The most important point was to remain autonomous management of its website, the easiest way possible, as her business takes a long time.

Solution found

So I proposed the WordPress CMS for its ease of use but also for many multilingual management functions, search engine optimization and model creation to easily create new training plans for example.

The 888 Design Studio has created the graphic design of the website based on the new graphic and then I created the theme by including a “slider” animated home page to view the latest training, represented by folders.

Several “shortcode” have been developed to facilitate the reuse of layouts in training schemes for example.

The site was online January 31, 2011.

STTP company needed visibility on the Internet and a new graphic.

Solution found

We proposed with the 888 Design Studio, a new logo featuring a mix of real and virtual land as seen topography after a field survey work.

Then we have adapted it to create WordPress theme.

The site offers presentation of services, management of items per category, the management of applications and contacts.
